Marcus Turner-Wood

I'm Marcus Turner-Wood, a Physics with Nuclear Science graduate from the University of Liverpool. I'm currently interning at VEC, working on digital innovation for SMEs in Liverpool — AI agents, digital twins, computer vision, and related tools. I'm about to start a PhD in the nuclear physics group at Liverpool, studying how single-particle excitations drive shape coexistence via Pb-d transfer reactions. I'm also the founder and former president of the University of Liverpool Nuclear Society, and helped affiliate the university with the Nuclear Institute to strengthen academic–industry collaboration.

This site is a periodically-updated publication of short articles and write-ups on topics I find interesting or important, spanning physics research, mathematics, and philosophy, alongside a record of projects I've worked on.

The articles section covers whatever I've been reading or thinking about at the time; the projects section documents specific pieces of research and lab work, with full reports available where relevant.
